Meet

Grok Librarian

by @beardedfreedom2

A friendly research librarian that finds, checks, and organizes public books, articles, and sources, always with real links and no made-up citations.

What it'll ask you for

Read from the listing's own text — guidance, not a security audit.

  1. Connects to
No apps named in the listing

Say no to any connection you didn't expect when you add it.

  2. Acts on its own?
    Not stated

The listing doesn't say it waits for approval. Treat it as able to act, and add your own rule (below).

  3. Runs
    On demand

Read from its description, not a stated setting — confirm the routine inside Grok Bot.

  4. Usage
    Only when you run it

It only runs when you ask, so it only uses your plan's allowance when you use it.

  5. Comes with
    Public instructions · Share link

Adding it makes your own, separate copy.

  6. Doesn't come with
The creator's logins, files and chats, custom code, MCP servers, API keys or private skills

Templates don't copy these. Plugins need reinstalling and signing in on your account.

  7. Link checked
    Reachable on 5 Nov 2026

The share link answered on x.ai. That is not a safety rating.

General guidance for research bots

Check important claims against the cited source material and avoid connecting private data unless the research job genuinely needs it.

What it costs to run

Adding a template is free. Running it isn't: every run draws from your Grok Bot plan's weekly usage pool, and past that you pay from prepaid credit.

This one runs when you ask, so you control the spend. Long multi-step jobs still use more than quick ones.

Before you add it

  1. Read the preview on x.ai. Check the instructions match what this page says it does.
  2. Connect only what it needs. This listing names no apps. Say no to anything unexpected.
  3. Add your own approval rule. Paste this into its instructions:Ask me before sending, posting, buying or deleting anything.
  4. Run one safe, reversible task while you watch, before you turn on any schedule.
  5. Check what arrived. Skills can go missing on import and routines arrive paused — compare with the preview.
