Grok Bot pricing

What Grok Bot costs, plan by plan.

There is no separate Grok Bot subscription. It comes with the Premium, Super and Ultra plans on The X Subscription — $30, $100 and $200 a month — and not with Plus or Free.1,3 Each plan includes a weekly usage pool; past that, usage is paid from prepaid credit.5

“Not published” means xAI's pages don't give the figure. The Plus multiples come from the pricing table; the Grok Bot page states the same plans relative to Premium, and the two don't match exactly, so both are shown.

Is Grok Bot free?

A trial, not a free plan.

Free and Plus don't include Grok Bot.4,2 Some accounts are offered a trial: when the access screen shows Start Trial, the trial is a usage credit with a 7-day window. It never turns into a paid plan, it is used up by agent steps and tokens rather than by message count, and one big task can use all of it. Used credit is not restored.4

xAI doesn't publish the size of the trial credit or say which accounts get it.4

Weekly usage and overage

What happens when the weekly pool runs out.

Grok Bot draws from one weekly pool shared with the Grok apps and Cursor, not a separate Grok Bot quota. Super and Ultra get larger pools than Premium.3,6,4

Past the pool, usage is “Additional Usage”, paid from prepaid top-up credit. Auto Top-up only runs if you enable it, and a monthly additional-usage limit caps what you can spend; adding credit doesn't raise that cap.5 The cap doesn't stop a Bot in the middle of a run, so a running task can go a little past it.4

Platforms

Where you can use it.

The desktop app runs on macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows (x64 and Arm64) and Linux (x64 and Arm64). The mobile companion app runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, and on Android 9 or later.4 The Grok Bot product page lists macOS, Windows and iOS.1

On a legacy Cursor plan, Grok Bot is still included with paid individual plans and Cursor Teams; extra usage there is billed through Cursor as on-demand usage, if you turn it on. xAI's FAQ covers how the two kinds of plan interact.4
