Bring a Drive file onto the Bot's computer (Docs, Sheets and Slides arrive as .docx, .xlsx and .pptx)

It can write

Edit cells in spreadsheets the account can edit (Viewer files stay view-only)
Save files the Bot made to Drive (always as a new file)

Drive can read every file the account can open, including ones shared with you by others. It can't change who has access.

Set up Google Drive safely

Point the Bot at one folder or one spreadsheet by name.
Run the first pass on a copy of any shared sheet.
Tell the Bot to save new files rather than overwrite existing ones.

Ask first rules to add before connecting

In Settings → General → Bot → Custom Rules, describe the action and choose Ask first.

Ask first before editing or deleting any file in Google Drive.
